Plans are underway to replace/renovate the current Mathews High School trophy case, above, which is located in the hallway in front of the school’s gymnasium. Plans include removing the lockers on both sides of the old case and replacing them with a case with a new design, lighting and access, with separate areas for the boys and girls. Once bids on the project are received, the project will be presented to the school board for its consideration. Donations have already started pouring in for the project, with the MHS Classes of ’87, ’88 and ’90 giving over $1,500 combined. Additional donations are appreciated.
