Members of the Mathews High School and Thomas Hunter Middle School band programs had quite an eventful week.On Wednesday, Jan. 31, 41 high school and middle school band students traveled to Montross Middle School on the Northern Neck to audition for the Northern Neck/Middle Peninsula Area Honor Band.
These students auditioned against students from around the area for placement in the ensemble, which will have rehearsals and perform a concert on March 22-23 at Westmoreland High School in Montross. A total of 32 Mathews students qualified for Honor Band.
