MHS student volunteering in youth wing of library

Kayla Carr, a junior at Mathews High School, finds time in her busy schedule to volunteer in the youth wing of Mathews Memorial Library.
Not only is she active in extracurricular activities, including varsity basketball and crew, she has a part-time job at Richardson’s restaurant. As Carr explains it, she believes it is quite important to find ways for serving the community and the library offers that opportunity.
Looking ahead to graduation, Carr plans to major in criminal justice and criminology. She has several colleges in mind, both in and out of state including University of Alabama, Virginia Tech and Radford. She is currently enrolled in classes at Rappahannock Community College pursuant to her career goals.
