MHS JV girls fall to Cavaliers

The Mathews High School JV volleyball team traveled to King William on Tuesday to face the Cavaliers. The Lady Cavaliers won the match after a great effort by the MHS team.
King William continued to get the first handful of points, but Mathews ended their run. Marley Brock was the first server and served an ace but lost the next point and King William had possession of the ball again.
Mya Schroeder got a free-ball kill and won the point from an awesome rally. Emily Ward showed a great attempt in getting the ball up from a tip but was unsuccessful. The first set ended, 25-10, King William.
The Lady Blue Devils played with energy and excitement but ended the second set, 25-17, King William.
Mathews hosts West Point tonight, Thursday, Oct. 5, in the Lady Devils’ Dig Pink night.
