The Mathews High School Music Department presented its annual Holiday Concert last Thursday night at the school’s Harry M. Ward Auditorium. The concert of holiday songs, both familiar and unique, featured performances from the department’s Jazz Band, Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble and Concert Band, ending with an audience Christmas “pop” sing-along. Thomas Hunter Middle School will give its holiday concert at 7 p.m. next Thursday, Dec. 19, at the middle school.
