The Mathews High School golf team finished up its season on Tuesday, competing in the VHSL Class 1, Region A tournament at the Golden Eagle Golf Club in Irvington.
Mathews golfers finished fifth out of eight teams competing. Chase Ambrose was the low scorer for the Devils. Other counting scores were turned in by Fabian Cardenas, Ben Stroud and Bryce West. The other two Mathews players to qualify for the tournament were Evan Brennan and Christian West.
