The Mathews High School girls’ tennis team fell to Rappahannock last Wednesday but rebounded to defeat Lancaster, 7-2, on Thursday and Bethel High School on Monday, 6-3.
In the Bethel match, singles wins were posted by Lily Jarosz (8-2), Lyla Duff (8-0), Liberti Carter (8-0) and Jayda Thomas (8-6). In doubles, Taylor Wood and Duff took the number 2 seed (8-2), while Ella Ward and Liberti teamed up for a doubles victory at number 3 (8-1). Rayann Helbig posted an exhibition win.
