The Mathews High School varsity softball season came to an abrupt end last Thursday night at Middlesex, as the Devils fell to the Chargers in the Region 1A quarterfinals, 11-6.
Morgan Crittenden ended the day with a triple, two RBIs and one run scored. Avery Thomas had two singles and an RBI. Aly Jackson had a double and a run scored.
