Last weekend, the Mathews High School Music Department traveled to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, for the band’s Spring Performance Trip. The group stopped at James Madison University for a clinic with Assistant Director of Bands Chris DeVona on Friday morning. They then continued to Pigeon Forge where they performed a concert outside the entry gates to Dollywood Park Saturday morning (photo above). Fresh off the performance at Dollywood, the MHS band will perform its spring concert tonight, Thursday, May 23, at 7 p.m., in the school’s Harry M. Ward Auditorium. This is a free concert; however, donations will be accepted in support of the school music program.
