For the second year in a row, Mathews native Melissa Keller Foster has been voted by her peers in the medical profession as one of Richmond Magazine’s 2020 Top Docs, featured in the magazine’s April issue.

A nurse practitioner, Foster has been working for Virginia Physicians for Women in Richmond for the past two years.
A 2001 Mathews High School graduate, she is married to James Foster (a 1998 MHS graduate); they have a 7-year-old daughter, Emory, and a 4-year-old son, Cameron. She is the daughter of Gabi Keller and Bill Malonson of Gloucester and David Keller of Ellerbe, North Carolina. James is also an essential worker during this current COVID-19 pandemic, working at the Walmart Distribution Center in James City County.
