The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors will hold a pair of budget meetings next week.
On Tuesday, supervisors will hold a joint meeting with members of the Gloucester County School Board, and the following day, Wednesday, March 22, the county board will hold public hearings on the proposed budget and the tax rates. The joint meeting with the school board and Wednesday’s public hearings will both be held in the T.C. Walker Education Center auditorium, starting at 6 p.m.
Details about the proposed $158.5 million operating budget and the accompanying proposed tax rates (58.3 cents per $100 for real estate; $2.95 per $100 for personal property) can be found on the Meeting Portal on the county’s website.
Supervisors were scheduled to hold a work session on the budget on Wednesday night.
Following next week’s meetings, the board has a scheduled town hall meeting on the budget at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, also in the T.C. Walker Center.
