Mathews County Public Schools held its End-of-Year Reception and Awards Presentation on June 6 at Mathews High School, where a number of teachers and other staff were celebrated for their years of service and others for their retirement.
More than 20 school employees were given pins for the milestone of years they had hit with the county from 10 years all the way to 35.
Being recognized for 10 years of service were Jeanie Smith, Karen Norris, Katherine James, Amy Ashberry, Elaine Bausone, Korin Hall, Ashley McBurney, Jennifer Patterson, Sarah Richardson, Shannon Duff and Ronald Jenkins.
Those receiving honors for 15 years of service were Terri Bell, Lori Rudisill, Emily Betz, Mari Boatman and Cassandra Jenkins.
Those being recognized for 20 years of service were Nicole Foster, Rhonda Pugh, Stacie Wiatt, Amy Bohannon-Stewart, Steve Casper and Clyde Royals.
