Heather Burford of Mathews, a retired English teacher and professor writing under the name H.E. Burford, has published her first novel, “In the Moment: Book One.”
The novel is “a romance with a little suspense,” said Burford. It tells a story about losing love and taking chances to find true love again.
According to a press release, the heroine, Alicia Lavy, is a young journalist in New York City who finds that city life isn’t for her anymore. She chooses a spot on the map that promises peace and tranquility and takes a leap, ending up in Fary Banks, Maine.
It takes time and patience, but Alicia finally meets the perfect man, and they fall in love at warp speed. But the love affair isn’t without conflict, and they encounter numerous obstacles on their path to happiness. Alicia decides that she’s willing to do whatever it takes to achieve her happy ending, regardless of the consequences.
