The Mathews Women’s Giving Circle is preparing its final review of 2022 grant applications that support the well-being of women and families in the Mathews community.
This organization of like-minded, purpose-driven women who share a common concern for local needs, is seeking funding opportunities to consider for this year’s award, a release stated.
MWGC, through members’ philanthropy and collective giving, is in its fourth year. It has previously awarded close to $100,000 in supporting the Career and Technical Education program at Mathews High School, the Mathews Social Services Grandparents Raising Grandchildren program, the public school summer feeding initiative during Covid years and the rehabilitation of the Boys & Girls Club through Mathews Family YMCA that brought the building up to code and included installing a security system.
