The Mathews County Board of Supervisors will meet at 6 o’clock tonight, Thursday, March 20, in the historic courthouse on Court Street.
According to the agenda, the meeting will kick off with a special presentation by Steve Foster of Management Advisory Group on a class and compensation study recently conducted regarding employee salaries and job classifications.
Under unfinished business, supervisors are expected to discuss a special event permit, review the strategic plan, and adopt 2025 bylaws for the board.
For new business, the board will take up a proposed memorandum of agreement with the Mathews County School Board that would transfer school maintenance responsibilities to the county.
The board is expected to set public hearings on several matters, including the county’s fee schedule and business license requirements, a request to make Sail Cove (in Hallieford) a golf cart community, adoption of a permanent pump and haul permit, and a request by Joe Perdue for a conditional use ...
