The Mathews County Board of Supervisors has scheduled a special called meeting for 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 15, in the Mathews High School auditorium.
Under discussion will be moving monthly meetings to the historic courthouse beginning Tuesday, Aug. 26 and setting the meeting dates for November and December to the third Tuesday rather than the fourth Tuesday, with meetings on Nov. 15 and Dec. 20.
The board will then enter into closed session to discuss plans to protect public safety as it relates to potential cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and any actions taken to respond to such matters.
