Two Thomas Hunter Middle School seventh graders—SCA president Kaden Ormsby and treasurer Eloise Leslie—served as student ambassadors during part of a tour of Mathews County Public Schools given to representatives from civic groups last Thursday morning. Among those in attendance were Mary Chapman and Beth Johnson of Women’s Giving Circle, Robb Riddle and Stan Grice of Mathews Land Conservancy, Sue Mathiesen of the Gwynn’s Island Foundation, and retired educator Carol Anne Simopoulos, who serves on the division’s Superintendent’s Planning Council.
