Members of the Mathews County School Board will sit down next week with representatives from the School Board Member Alliance to work on the division’s strategic plan.
Meetings will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, July 31, concluding from noon to 4 p.m. next Thursday, Aug. 1, with all meetings to be held in the Brooks Auditorium at Thomas Hunter Middle School.
In addition to the school board and SBMA representatives, those taking part will include the superintendent, assistant superintendent, the division’s principals, the Mathews County Public Schools Planning and Faculty/Staff Advisory Committees, and a Career and Technical Education department representative.
Participants will be responsible for working on the following strategic plan goals: student achievement/academic improvement, CTE, culture/climate, facilities and school consolidation.
