Mathews School Board to hold Town Hall meeting Monday

The Mathews County School Board will hold its second Town Hall meeting of the 2023-2024 school year on Monday. The meeting will be held in the Harry M. Ward Auditorium at Mathews High School, beginning at 6 p.m.
The meeting provides the opportunity for residents to ask questions and express concerns about school-related issues to the school board. Index cards will be available for those attending to write down their questions.
School board vice chairman John Priest, serving as moderator, will read the questions and direct them either to Superintendent of Schools Nancy Welch or school board chairman Desmond Smith for a reply.
The submitter of the question will be given the opportunity for one follow-up question or two minutes of rebuttal. Once all submitted questions have been addressed, the moderator may ask for any other submissions, if time allows.
The meeting is expected to conclude at 8 p.m., or when there are no further questions, whichever comes first. The first town hall of the ...
