Mathews P&R conducting online survey

Mathews County Parks and Recreation is conducting an online survey to help determine what amenities county residents would like the committee to prioritize.
Among the questions are whether to create a multi-use recreational park on county-owned property behind Liberty Square; whether the county needs an accessible playground; and whether to create athletic fields for such sports as soccer and lacrosse.
It asks community opinion about building a disc golf course, a dog park, or a golf driving range; creating hiking/jogging trails or horseback trails; having a community garden; and installing an EV charging station.
Are picnic areas needed? A sensory garden trail? A skateboard park? All are on the survey.
The survey also asks about a shooting range, an indoor or outdoor swimming pool, and volleyball courts, and it has a blank space for other ideas.
Finally, survey participants are asked to indicate which county-owned properties they visit and whether they are county residents or visitors...
