The sixth annual Mathews Polar Plunge, a fundraiser for Meals on Wheels in Mathews, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 18, at Haven Beach in Diggs, beginning at 8 a.m.
People can sign up to participate, or pledge to make a donation. “Any amount helps and is appreciated,” said Amy Ashberry, who is coordinating the annual event.
Donations can be made by cash, checks payable to Mathews County Meals on Wheels, venmo (@amyashberry), cashapp ($amyashberry), paypal (paypal.me/amyashberry), FB Pay, Apple Pay, or Zelle. There will be a donation bucket at the beach that morning.
