Mathews NAACP to hold King Day program Jan. 19

Air Force Capt. Tisha J. Yates, a public affairs officer for Air Combat Command at Langley AFB, will be the guest speaker at the Jan. 19 MLK program at Zion Baptist Church, Cardinal.
The Mathews chapter of the NAACP will hold its annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Program at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19, at Zion Baptist Church, Cardinal. The public is invited to attend.
The theme for this year’s program is “What’s Your Vision?” Air Force Capt. Tisha J. Yates, a public affairs officer for Air Combat Command at Langley Air Force Base, will be the program’s guest speaker.
Air Combat Command organizes, trains, equips and maintains the Air Force’s fighter, command and control, personnel recovery and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance and cyber forces. The command operates more than 1,300 aircraft, 35 wings, 19 bases and has more than 300 worldwide operating locations with 147,000 total force personnel.
