The Mathews Museum, located at 200 Main Street, will recognize Mathews County’s local businesswomen as the nation celebrates Women’s History Month in March, with a fashion exhibit that opened Saturday.
Also, an information speakers panel is set for 7 p.m. Friday, March 21.
The fashion exhibit is staged by Ladies Victorian, a company founded by Marilyn Iglesias and Kim Forslund. It will present women’s fashions from 1600s to the 1900s.
At the March 21 panel discussion, Janice Jones, founder and owner of Roane’s Antiques at The Cottage on Main Street, and clay artist Karen Podd, owner with her husband Robert of The Poddery at Foster, will speak on their work and careers.
