Mathews Museum hosts artist events

The Mathews Historical Museum hosts artist P. Buckley Moss on Sunday, and three woodcrafting artists on Friday and Saturday next week.
Moss will be at the museum, located at 200 Main Street, from 4-7 p.m. to sign copies of her work. She has created a print and tile, “Workhorse of the Bay,” featuring a workboat; sales of this artwork will benefit the museum.
Last year Moss painted New Point Lighthouse in a similar arrangement. Her Workhorse items will be on sale Sunday.
The following weekend, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19 and 9-3 on Saturday, Aug. 20, the museum will welcome exhibitions, demonstrations and sales by three county woodcrafters, David Parker, Ron Litwinski and Jack Minogue.
