Mathews militiamen

Members of the Virginia Reserve Militia in Mathews during World War II included, front row from left, Lt. Earl Hudgins, Capt. George E. Treakle, Lt. Clyde Wilkins; second row, not identified, Sgt. Eugene F. Barnes, Vannie Armistead, Willie Brooks, Alfred Foster, Willie E. Owens, Ellis Respress, Wilbert T. Foster, not identified, Sgt. Thomas M. Emory, C. Eddie Forrest Jr. Those identifiable on the third row include R. Aubrey Tatterson, Richard D. Moger, Cpl. C. Aubrey White (company clerk), William B. Smith and Floyd Earl Crewe. They were photographed during a drill at Mathews High School.
