Author William Geroux will be the guest speaker at the Middlesex Shooting and Sports Club dinner on Monday, July 1, starting at 6 p.m.
Geroux is the author of the “The Mathews Men: Seven Brothers and the War Against Hitler’s U-Boats” and “The Ghost Ships of Archangel.” These books convey the perilous stories of local Merchant Mariners that braved the Nazi U-boat-infested waters of the North Atlantic in convoys bearing supplies for America’s European allies during World Wat II.
The community is welcome to attend this dinner to hear and meet Geroux, and enjoy a dinner prepared by Chef Andre Smith. Cost per person is $25. Seating is limited and reservations can be made by emailing the club at msscdinnerrsvp@3739014.mailchimpapp.com.
The deadline to RSVP for the dinner is June 26. MSSC hosts a dinner and speaker on the first Monday of every month and all net proceeds go to support youth and women’s shooting educational program.
