Mathews Memorial Library has a full season of holiday fun ahead, beginning with its annual decorating party on Sunday, Dec. 8.
Join the library on Dec. 8 for its annual Deck the Halls party from 1-3 p.m. There will be seven trees, reminiscent of the magic of seasons’ past in Mathews, ready for decorating by patrons that afternoon. Enjoy the music of the season and holiday refreshments.
On Thursday, Dec. 12, return to the library for its A Gift of Sharing program from 3-4 p.m. Local bakers are invited to bake and share cookies with individuals at Mathews Convalescent Center and those who receive Meals on Wheels as a special holiday treat. Bring your cookies and assist in preparing cookie gift bags while enjoying tea and cookies.
A Fairytale Christmas will be held at the library on Tuesday, Dec. 17 from 6-7 p.m. Pull on your pajamas, grab your blanket and favorite teddy bear to join Santa at the library for Christmas stories, cookies and hot chocolate. All children are welcome to attend....
