The Mathews Historical Museum will be open from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday in honor of Veterans Day.
The museum posted this year a Wall of Remembrance, containing more than 800 members of Mathews County men and women who have served and are now serving in the military.
A release said visitors are invited to bring family military photos to be included in a future exhibit for the museum’s website, www.mathewsvamuseum.org.
Museum to hold Christmas Bazaar Dec. 14-15
The Mathews Historical Museum at 200 Main Street will hold a Christmas Bazaar on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 13 and 14. Hours are 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. both days.
Vendors are welcome to sell their wares; the fee is $25 with participants furnishing their own tables, according to museum chair Barbara Bass.
