The Mathews High School boys’ and girls’ varsity cross country teams took another win last Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the King Carter Golf Course in Irvington.
Andrew Greve placed first for Mathews and third overall with a finishing time of 18:09. Seth James finished next for Mathews with a time of 18:24, followed by Carlos Clayborn (18:31).
Next for Mathews was Salvador Cardenas who finished with a time of 18:41, followed by Gavin Dustin (18:46), Blake Hunley (18:46.5), Chance Higginbotham (18:47), Jon Jenkins (19:11), Adam Dustin (19:37), Zachary Salvadori (20:05), Adam Greve (20:40), Franklin Cardenas (20:45), Samuel Miranda (21:02), Noah Hurst (21:09), Colin Moore (21:10), Elias Hidalgo (21:15), Bryce Larson (21:17), Greyson Clements (JV) (21:44), Cole Christensen (JV) (21:59), Hunter Horsley (JV) (22:54), James Morgan (23:22), Brayden Larson (JV) (23:55), Eric Cardenas (JV) (25:01) and Stanley Ouma (26:00). The boys won with a team score of 25.
