The Mathews High Schools boys’ and girls’ cross country teams came out victorious at their away meet in West Point last Wednesday, Sept. 6, against West Point and Rappahannock high schools.
Andrew Greve finished first for the Mathews boys with a time of 18:22. Carlos Clayborn finished next with a time of 19:01, followed by Gavin Dustin with a time of 19:29.
Finishing next for Mathews was Jon Jenkins with a time of 19:36, followed by Jaxon McDonald (19:51), Salvador Cardenas (20:04), Blake Hunley (20:06), Chance Higginbotham (20:18), Cristian Miranda (20:38), Adam Greve (21:31), Zachary Salvadori (21:38), Franklin Cardenas (22:26), Cole Christensen (JV) (23:03), Adam Dustin (23:21), Elias Hidalgo (23:33), Noah Hurst (23:45), Greyson Clements (JV) (24:10), Bryce Larson (24:18), Hunter Horsley (JV) (25:16), Samuel Miranda (25:40), Brayden Larson (JV) (26:05), Colin Moore (26:13), James Morgan (29:58), Eric Cardenas (31:02) and Stanley Ouma (35:28).
