Community Sing-along Sunday at Central UMC
Central Village Homemakers will present its annual community Christmas Sing-along from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Central United Methodist Church, Mathews.
This is the homemakers’ gift to the community, a release said. You may also watch on Central’s YouTube channel. Just type in “central united methodist church mathews va” on YouTube.
Saturday’s Lighted Boat Parade canceled
The East River Lighted Christmas Boat Parade scheduled for Saturday has been canceled.
Gwen DeForge, operations manager for the Mathews Land Conservancy, said that the person who organizes the parade was unable to do it this year, and no one else was able to step into that role.
Coordinated events that were planned at Williams Wharf have been canceled, as well.
