Mathews Chapel limits service participants

Mathews Chapel United Methodist Church at Cobbs Creek, like many other churches, has switched to online services with limited participants in the age of coronavirus.
COVID-19 has forced Mathews Chapel to limit the number of participants in its Sunday services and has basically become a “one-person show,” according to the Rev. Brett Isernhagen, pastor of Mathews Chapel.For Holy Week, Isernhagen recorded two services with the Rev. Booker Brown of Locust Grove United Methodist Church and on Easter two musicians joined him for the recording.
“Since then, however, I’ve seen articles about the dangers of singing in groups, even in larger rooms, and I’ve decided to keep the recording to just me, or editing in video recorded by others—but not recording with multiple people in the same room,” said Isernhagen.
