The Mathews County Board of Supervisors will hold its May meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday. It will again be an electronic meeting, with public participation enabled through a variety of means, including email, regular mail, or call-in.

The meeting may be viewed at facebook.com/MathewsCountyVA or listened to on the county website, mathewscountyva.gov/government/meeting-portal.

A special presentation by Three Rivers Health District Director Dr. Richard Williams is scheduled at the top of the meeting. It will be followed by a public comment period.

To participate in public comment, contact the county administrator’s office at 804-725-7172. There will also be a second chance for residents to address the board at the end of the meeting.

The board will discuss CARES Act funding that the county is expected to receive, as well as a continuity ordinance and a reopening strategy for county government.

There will also be department reports by Mathews County Broadband Advisory Board Chair Judy Rowe and Planning and Zoning Director Thomas Jenkins.
