Mathews board approves personnel actions

The Mathews County School Board took a number of personnel actions at its Nov. 19 meeting.
The board approved two transfers: Stacy A. Hudgins transferred from her position as registrar of Mathews Elementary/Thomas Hunter (a 260-day position) to a bus driver (181-day position); Laura A. Horsley was transferred into that registrar position, having previously served as a teacher’s assistant (181-day support staff) at Mathews Elementary.
Two teacher’s assistants were appointed: Kathryn E. Doubleday at Mathews Elementary and Mabel Varela Monserrate at Thomas Hunter. Resignations were approved for TAs Rebecca J. Helbig (MES) and Dustin A. Mullins (Mathews High School).
Two spring sports coaching appointments were approved—Dallas B. Wagner for varsity boys’ baseball and Jonathan A. Dehoux for JV boys’ baseball.
