An American Red Cross bloodmobile was held on Tuesday, April 18, at the Piankatank Ruritan Club, Hudgins, sponsored by Oriental Lodge #20 AF&AM. A total of 56 units was collected, which included five people who gave double-red donations. Gallon pins were awarded to John Snow (three gallons) and Michael Koebach (seven gallons). Vince Tirelli and Louise Rogers made their first donations in Mathews; Tirelli is shown here. The next Mathews blood drive will be held on Tuesday, July 18.
