The installation of new basketball and pickleball courts at Mathews Park is moving along. As of Monday, four basketball hoops had been installed, but have yet to be set to height. Posts for the pickleball court are next on the list, said Mathews Grounds and Facilities Manager Tim Tillage, but weather has delayed completion of the two projects. He said workers have been on site every day possible. Painting for both courts will be done on the same day, weather permitting, said Tillage, followed by fencing the pickleball court. He said the courts won’t be ready for use until the project is completed, as soon as next week.
