Maryvonne Swift Obenshain, 63, of Gloucester, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2011, at her home.
She was the widow of Curry Cooper Obenshain Jr., and was born in Rinneyville, Ky. She had retired as an R.N. and was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Gloucester. She graduated from John Carroll School, Illinois State University, and from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing.
She is survived by her parents, Wayne Leroy and Simone Rolande Andres of Hernando, Fla.; her brother, Shelby Swift; nieces, Simone Renee Stanton, Natalie Sue Burleson, and Denise Marie Swift; her grand-nieces and -nephews, Shelby Lynn Stanton, Lilly Beth Burleson, Tyler Jerome Burleson, and Samuel James Burleson, and a host of extended family in France.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, April 25, 2011, at 11 a.m. in St. Therese Catholic Church by Father James Cowles. Burial was in Bellamy Memorial Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6-7 p.m.
