Mary Kathryn McCarrell Burton, 95, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015.

She was born in Greenville, S.C., and moved to St. Petersburg in 2002 from Richmond, Va., where she lived for 50 years and was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. She was a retired nurse. 

She is survived by two  daughters, Mary K. (John) Wilson, Virginia Burton (Bill) Stringer, both of St. Petersburg; one son, Joseph M. (Gloria) Burton Sr. of Yorktown, Va.; one stepson, Robert T. (Beverly) Hedges of Boise, Idaho; 10 grandchildren, Paul B. (Jackie) Wilson, J. Mark (Angela) Wilson, Patrick J. (Dagmara) Wilson, David C. (Michelle) Stringer, Melissa Alice Stringer, Melanie E. Stringer, Andrea Dale (Brad) Martindale, Joseph M. Burton Jr., Deborah H. (Hooman) Bahrani, Jennifer (Bob) Hedges; and 10 great-grandchildren, Caroline Burton, Abigail Stringer, Lindsay Wilson, Grace Stringer, Landis Wilson, Logan Wilson, Mason Stringer, John Paul Wilson, Kalin Wilson, and Kassian Wilson.

 She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Kate McCarrell; her husband of 41 years, Robert S. Burton Jr., and a brother, Joseph D. McCarrell Jr.

 A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at E. Dale Gunter Funeral Home, 4100-16th Street North, St. Petersburg, Fla., with the Rev. Georgene D. Conner, officiating. 

 Interment will be at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery in Richmond, Va.
