A funeral for Mary Hooks Mealy, 106, of Gloucester, was held at 1 p.m. Dec. 13 in Zion Hill Baptist Church, Gloucester. She died Dec. 9, 2014.

Preceding her in death were her parents, William Henry and Lucy Moriah Hooks; husband, Shedrick Mealy; sisters, Julia Hooks Feggans, Estelle Hooks Morgan, Arlene Hooks Billups, and Idelia Hooks Tait, and a brother, Riley Hooks.

Survivors include a niece, Catherine Lee, and two nephews, Alfred Thornton and Roland Billups of Gloucester.

The Rev. Stevens Burrell of Gleaning Baptist Church, pastor, conducted the service.
