A funeral service for Mary F. Brooks, 69, of Mathews, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at Zion Baptist Church, Cardinal. She died Jan. 11, 2015.

Survivors include a daughter, Renette Brooks of Mathews; son, Carl Brooks of Bridgeport, Conn.; sisters, Phyllis Spriggs of Cardinal, Yvonne Gwynn of Bridgeport; brother, Robert Brooks of Mathews; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Interment will follow the service in Poplar Wood Cemetery, Cardinal. The family will receive friends at Knight Funeral Home, Mathews, from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
