Mary Alice West, 71, of Hayes, died Sept. 29, 2014 at her home.

She loved her family and lived her life for them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James William West Sr. (BB), and daughter, Lois Marie West.

Mary Alice is survived by a son, James West Jr. and wife Ann West; a daughter, Carolyn Compton; grandchildren, Amanda Bauer and husband Scott Rogers, James Allen West, Brandon West, Destiny West and Ciara West; two great-grandchildren, Michael Bauer Jr. and Blake Bauer; her brothers, Ernest, John, Raymond and James; sister, Ruby; and special friends, James Linwood Smith and Patrick Scolari.

Graveside funeral service conducted by the Rev. Richard Whiteheart will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, at Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery.
