The Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce executive board recently elected Paul Martin as its president for 2012. He owns Martin’s Custom Designs and Scotty’s Signs.
Other officers selected for 2012 include: vice president, Dayton Wiese, Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance; secretary, Frank Farmer, Franktronics, and treasurer, Debbie Martin, Virginia Country Real Estate. All are new to their posts except Debbie Martin, who returns for another year as treasurer, said Makalia Records, the chamber’s executive director.
"We plan to have a busy year," Records said Dec. 28. "We have had a great 2011."
Annual dinner
The chamber will hold its annual dinner from 6-10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 at Abingdon Ruritan Centre, Bena. The theme will be "Around the World." The evening will feature dinner with foods from a number of countries, catered by Juan’s Mexican Café, Hayes. Music will be by the jazz trio Sideways.
