Martha May Hogge Brown, age 98, recently of Florida, died in The Villages, Florida, on Wednesday, September 14, 2023. Martha was born on May 16, 1925 to the late William Addison Hogge and Olie Ruth Brown Hogge. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, James William Brown, and three brothers and three sisters. Martha is survived by her children, Anna May Olmsted (John), Claudia Becknell (Gary), Patricia Royals (Rick); grandchildren, John Olmsted Jr., Alexander Olmsted (Crystal), Jennifer Cullen, Garet Becknell, Kimberly Willis, Timothy Royals (Susan), Jessica Coo (Erick); great-grandchildren, Roys Olmsted, Justin Stalker, Zachary Coo, Clayton Willis, Taylor Royals, and Landon Royals. The family will receive friends at Hogg Funeral Home on Thursday, September 28, 2023, from 6-7:30 p.m. A funeral service, conducted by Pastor Jared Berry and Pastor Bill West, will be held in Union Baptist Church on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 11 a.m. followed by interment in Rosewell Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
