Martha M. Hughes, 84, died on Monday, November 18, 2024. She was a resident of Gloucester, Va., and a member of The Church of Abraham.

Survivors include daughter, Andrea Forrest (Desmond Forrest); three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Virginia McCary; husband, Emmett Hughes Jr.; siblings, Mary Alice Keyes and Julius McCary.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 29, 2024, at The Church of Abraham. A funeral will be held at 12 noon Saturday, November 30, 2024 at the Church of Abraham, 4810 Hickory Fork Road, Gloucester Va. 23061. Mrs. Hughes will be available for viewing at 10 a.m.
