Martha Juanita Edwards Hudgins, 96, of Susan, Va., passed away April 16, 2014 at her home with her family.

She was born on Sept. 25, 1917 to Emmett and Elizabeth Edwards at Gwynn, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Calvin Hudgins; her brother, Robert Stewart Edwards, and a step-sister, Pansy Miles.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Peggy Leigh (Ben), Kathleen West (Ernest), Juanita Walker (William); a son, Robert C. Hudgins and daughter-in-law, Betty Hudgins. She had nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and one step-great-great-grandchild.

She was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, April 18, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Va., with burial to follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Susan. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
