Martha Hamrick Patterson, 56, of Columbus, Ga., died Monday, Oct. 10, 2011 at Vista Care Center at Franciscan Woods in Columbus.

Mrs. Patterson was born April 17, 1955 in Newport News, Va. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Hamrick and brother, Gene Hamrick.

She was Methodist by faith. Mrs. Patterson loved all of her family, especially her nine grandchildren. 

Survivors include her husband, Patrick S. Patterson of Columbus, Ga.; two sons, Jeremy Dowless, and Christopher Dowless; two daughters, Charlene Patterson, and Megan Patterson; her mother, Grace Hamrick Croswell; three brothers, and one sister.

A memorial service will be held from 1-4 p.m. Sunday in York River Yacht Haven.
