Mathews Market Days is celebrating its 50th year this Friday and Saturday with two days that are chock-full of activities, including the brand-new Kids Block Party on Friday night and the ever-popular Saturday Night Street Dance.
There will be a wealth of booths containing arts and crafts, homemade foods and products, handmade games, information on local businesses and organizations, and more, as well as an array of food vendors, from kettle corn and pizza to the Piankatank Ruritan Club’s tasty menu.
The festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday on the Court Green at Church Street and Brickbat Road in Mathews.
Friday morning will open with the National Anthem performed by Melissa Thomas and opening remarks from 2024 chair Jennifer Roahrig at the pavilion.
