The 2017 Mathews Market Days Home Goods Competition will be held at Kingston Episcopal Parish House, 370 Main Street, Mathews. Market Days will be held Sept. 8 and 9.
“There are not as many categories this year as in the past because we want to get the process down pat,” said Home Goods chairman Cheryl Dale. “If we can get that done this year, then next year we can have more categories and not have problems with checking, displaying and returning items.”
In years past, exhibited items were not displayed in a secure location safe from weather, dirty fingers and theft, she said. For that reason, the site has been moved. “Without the assistance of Kingston Parish, it would have been impossible to hold the competition,” said Dale.
