Marion Lee West, age 87, a native of Gloucester County, died on Thursday, December 28, 2023, in Bedford County, Virginia. Mr. West was a lifelong waterman, crabbing and oystering on his boat “Leona W.” He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona, and their sons, Jonathan West and Michael West. Survivors include a son, Richard L. West; a daughter, Barbara Ann West Lloyd (Tom); seven grandchildren, Sabrina West, Nicholas West, Richard L. West II, Virginia Nicholas (Kevin), John-Michael West (Faith), Robert West, Rebekah West; five great-grandchildren, Logan, Mia, Michael, Luke, and Jeremiah. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 6-7 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Gloucester Point Cemetery.
