Marilyn “Ducky” Morgan of Hallieford, Va., passed away on September 25, 2023 at the age of 92. She was born on March 13, 1931 to Upsher Sr and Mary Elizabeth “Mamie” Rainier. She was a longtime member of Mathews Chapel United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for 17 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 60 years, Forrest. Also preceding her in death her brothers, Buster and Melvin; sisters, Golden Dutton, Ruth Robins, Beulah Sadler, Lottie Rowe and Audrey “Piggy” Mitchem.

She is survived by her son, Keith and his wife Carol; granddaughter, Lindsay; sisters, Joyce Downs, Janice South; sister-in-law, Florence Rainier; many nieces, nephews, and a close family friend, Diane Sadler.

The family will receive friends and family at noon Friday, September 29 at Mathews Chapel Church, followed by funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Windsor Gardens Cemetery. Family and friends are invited back to the church for a reception after burial. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, is assisting the family.
